A superfit walker from Old Colwyn has completed one of the UK’s toughest mountain challenges in aid of a children’s hospice.
Company director Sarah Patterson, 32, of Supertemps Ltd took on the Welsh 3000s Mountain Challenge in Snowdonia.
She aimed to raise £800 for the Ty Gobaith Yng Nghymru/Hope House in the Conwy Valley after completing Saturday’s challenge.
Sarah and her teammate Tim Underhill camped on Snowdon on Friday to set off early on Saturday to climb the 15 peaks.
She said: “We’ve trained hard and covered all the individual mountain ranges previously.”
The entire route is 27 miles long and contains a total ascent of 13,000ft.
The record for completing the challenge is four hours 19 minutes set by fell runner Colin Donnelly on June 11, 1988.
