Colwyn Bay agency helping raise charity cash 30/09/2009

A NORTH Wales recruitment agency is aiming to use its services to place people into work in order to fill job vacancies but also to raise funds for a good cause.

Colwyn Bay-based Supertemps has made the T Gobaith/Hope house children’s hospice its chosen charity of the year.

It is organising a series of money-spinning events over coming weeks to help the hospice as part of T Gobaith’s Corporate Challenge event.

But it also wants to donate income from its business revenue streams as a money spinner for the hospice.

Branch manager Steve Griffiths said: “As a recruitment agency various local businesses and public sector organisations use us for sourcing temporary and permanent staff.

“We charge the client per hour for temporary workers and a fee based off annual salary for permanent staff.”

He added Supertemps was offering 20p per hour from income generated from organisations that use it to recruit temporary workers and a one-off £100 for each permanent employee that was placed.

A client recruiting, for example, a temp to an administrative post for 35 hours a week would enable Supertemps to donate on a weekly basis £7 to Hope House for that person. Supertemps has been established for 30 years and specialises in recruiting temps and permanent employees to commercial administrative, warehouse and other positions.
