A LEADING North Wales recruitment firm has strengthened its team amid growing signs that the region’s employers are recruiting again following the downturn.
Sian Williams has joined independent agency Supertemps as the company seeks to match more temporary and permanent workers to vacancies both in North Wales and North West England.
The 27-year-old communication studies graduate has worked in recruitment in North Wales for several years. She holds the Recruitment Employment Confederation’s practice certificate and is currently studying for a CIPD qualification.
Sian said: “I’m delighted to be part of Supertemps. They have an excellent reputation and such good relationships with employers and candidates, with so much repeat business.
“I know the region well and I’m aware of what employers are looking for.
“There’s higher demand for temporary staff at the moment. It’s still difficult with manufacturing and engineering, but there’s growing activity in sectors like renewable energy and IT.
“I think it’s a really exciting time in the recruitment industry and so I’m looking forward to working with Supertemps.”
Managing Director Sarah Ellwood said: “Sian is a terrific addition to our team and we’re delighted to have her on board.
“She knows the area and the industry and her commitment to fostering excellent relationships between clients and candidates fits the Supertemps way.”
Sian, from Conwy, is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying rock climbing and snow sports in particular.
Later this year she’s tackling the Welsh 3000s Challenge to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, and is running in the Anglesey half-marathon in September.
Supertemps will celebrate its 30th birthday later this year, making it the longest established recruitment agency in North Wales.
